Square Meal review of Addendum:

Addendum’s sober colour palette creates a very businesslike ambience in the inner sanctum of the Apex City of London Hotel, though it suffers from a lack of the direct sunlight that floods the outer bar. The food shines, though: seasonal white & green asparagus was beautifully al dente & served with wafer-thin discs of Jersey Royal potatoes & fragrant elderflower creme fraiche, while a delicate veal escalope was wrapped in Parma ham & served with bitter red chicory. A main course of gilthead bream arrived crisp-skinned with perfect Mediterranean accompaniments of anchoiade on toast, zingy confit tomato, artichokes & an intense red pepper reduction. Desserts included a memorable lemon meringue tart, the meringue concealing a web of fine lemon zest with a sharp lemon sorbet underneath. Service is friendly & efficient.
