Square Meal review of Bellamy's:

Squirrelled away in the cobbled lane of Bruton Place, Bellamy’s is quintessential Mayfair, from the very proper surroundings of dark leather chairs, starched white tablecloths & gleaming tableware to the well-executed, brasserie-style cooking. There’s an old-fashioned simplicity to the menu, which might kick off with smoked eel mousse or rillettes of duck ahead of poached salt cod with mayonnaise or veal sweetbreads meuniere. Luxury dishes – lobster salad, scrambled eggs with truffles – litter the menu, which has a separate section for caviar, though note that even the humblest assemblies come with very steep price tags: lamb cutlets with pommes boulangere for £22.50, say. Still, Bellamy’s is much appreciated for the consistently high quality of cooking, friendly atmosphere & gracious service. Like the whole experience, the wine list is determinedly French & determinedly old-fashioned.
