Wild West frontier meets small-town America outside Zigfrid, where an inviting, chill-out courtyard full of wooden furniture & carved totem poles is surrounded by a white picket fence. The eclectic vibe continues inside, with the spacious bar loosely partitioned into quirky little ‘sitting rooms’ accessorised with a bird table here or rocking horse there. Creative types & a motley mix of punks & goths come to pose & party. They glug wine from a short but satisfying list, or knock back well-chosen punchy cocktails, while snacking on a straightforward selection of sharing plates, burgers & salads. There are shrines to Bowie & Jagger by the entrance, DJs spin the tunes in the bar, & live music throbs in the Udderbelly venue below stairs.
