Whether viewed as magnificently raffish or just hideously trashy, there’s no denying this Hoxton original is a million miles removed from a bland corporate style. There is something gloriously kitschy about the industrial shell filled with tapestry suites, big leather chesterfields, flowery wallpaper & lots of graffiti. Drinks come from a decent wine list with more than a dozen by the glass & a short roster of ‘rocktails’. The food offering is surprisingly diverse & satisfying, from oysters & peel-yourself prawns through to jerk chicken sandwich, sausages & mash & smoked haddock on rosti potato.
