Running as casual tearoom and eatery by day, The Parlour takes on a late-night persona as a quirky, postmodern gentlemen’s club/bar (open to non-members before 9pm) – so expect breakfasts and bistro-style bites, plus scones and fondant fancies during afternoon tea and pricey cocktails after dusk. Try future fashion (a Zacapa cinnamon rum-based idea), margarita marmalade, pear Bellini or message in a bottle (vodka, lavender, lime and lychee). But hit the Johnnie Walker Blue (at £670 a bottle) and you might be sending out an SOS to your card provider. Enjoy similar pleasures in The Glade – a room that looks like a sultry fairy-tale ballet set invaded by South Pacific, thanks to a liberal dose of 50s rattan furniture.
