Arrive early or expect to queue at this superior fish & chip shop – everything’s fresh & cooked to order (something that’s not often the case elsewhere), & the locals know a good thing when they see it. Start with smoked salmon, brown bread & butter, or potted shrimps; move on to perfectly crisp traditional haddock, cod or plaice, or try a freshly caught, grilled sea bass or Dover sole with a simple herb sauce. Follow, if you’ve a mind for it, with stodgy British puddings. Brady’s is more expensive than many high street chippies, but is worth every extra penny. Surroundings are bright & cheerful, with wall pictures of marine life & mermaids. People have been known to wait 40 minutes for their takeaways, with never a thought of complaint.
