The zest seems to have gone out of the original Sea Cow on Lordship Lane. Although the fish is still day-boat fresh, portion sizes vary from reasonably to unforgivably small, while complaints from customers are met with a grudging shrug. Still, if you’re prepared to overlook these faults & you crave down-to-earth cod or haddock & chips, upmarket crab cakes with salad & lime mayo, the Sea Cow may have what you’re looking for. Your reward can be a decent bottle of house wine at just £11.50.
