Square Meal review of T Bar:
From throbbing temple of dance music by night to staff canteen for trendy professionals by day, T Bar shares the split personality characteristic of many of Shoreditch’s bigger venues. Buried deep inside the former tea warehouse whose upper floors provide much of its daytime custom, it’s big enough to swallow anything thrown at it: great for those club nights, but not so hot on a quiet weekday when it can feel like an empty warehouse. It’s open from breakfast onwards, with simple lunchtime fare like salads & sandwiches plus a few more substantial dishes including lemon chicken risotto with artichoke hearts. The cocktail list embraces martinis, long, short, Champagne & classic drinks. Too-cool-to-care staff are still at times keener to dispense attitude than anything else.
