Square Meal review of Motown Cafe:
Number 1 Leicester Square’s seventh floor (formerly known as the Loft Kitchen & Bar) has recently been revamped as a venue dedicated to classic soul, blues & funk, with live bands performing twice nightly at 10pm & midnight. Before then, the food offering embraces simple starters, salads & mains: beef carpaccio or field mushroom bruschetta followed by filet mignon with Burgundy sauce or lamb cutlets with apple & mint relish. There’s also be a good-value lunchtime express menu offering the likes of chicken milanese with spaghetti or wild mushroom risotto for £6.95, with a fantastic view thrown in for free.
