In terms of wow factor, late-late lounge Meza’s drinks easily upstage the uninspired modern interiors of this D&D venue in the heart of Soho’s adland. At just £4.75 for a Tom Collins each weekday between 5 & 9pm, that’s a lot of bang for your buck. The bar is big on daiquiris & grand Champagne cocktails such as sangria royale to share, but at £105… ouch! The bartenders’ choices are interesting, especially JT & Mario’s martini for its mix of Canadian Club, Campari, orange liqueur, cardamom, cassia bark & gomme. There’s also a fair selection of wines & tapas &, to many minds, a sexier bar downstairs (see Floridita).
