Square Meal review of Ma Cuisine Kew:
The black-&-white tiled floor, plastic tablecloths & walls blemished by quick paint jobs do nothing to hurt the success of this undemanding, unassuming French bistro & they might even help it: the place is packed to the gunnels night after night. With starters like puff pastry-wrapped boudin noir & moules marinieres & mains of cassoulet & fillet of sole with celeriac remoulade, Ma Cuisine is not going to win any prizes for ingenuity, nor does it aim to. The food is well prepared, nicely served &, though no longer the bargain it once was, still great value for money, even more so at lunchtime when there’s a great set lunch on offer.
