Brixton Bar and Grill

Had a really nice night out with my friend – popped in to meet a couple of friends, stayed longer then expected as had a good selection of drinks – maybe we're easy to please.

Worth a visit next time as part of a pub crawl.

Don't ever go! The service is so bad, staff is incompetent at best, rude at worst. Food takes for ages and is excessively bad (burned and/or undercooked). I waited forever (an hour) to get a horrible burger and the staff couldnt have cared less. On top of this the loo was full of piss and they didnt have heating in November…

Popped in here last Fri before the LCD Sound System gig, luckily got a table before the place filled up. Very comfortable, vibey, and crowd was really good. We had cocktails and I have to say that it's the first time I've ever been asked how I like my Martini, obviously the barman cared enough about making me a killer drink- what a relief in London! I had a Steak Frites and it was pretty good. I'm surprised to find a place like this in Brixton. It's not so much the menu or whatever, it's the atmosphere that so cool, it's rough and ready but still with a touch of class on the drinks. I like it. We came back for drinks after the show, DJ was really good and the staff remembered us and we ended up getting a free shot of Banana Sambuca on the house. Call it what you may but that's is f***ing rare in this town! Bless. Ols

popped in before pogues at brixton academy. awful awful awful. one of the bar staff walked out because the owner was shouting at her. this left them under staffed and clearly couldnt cope. we were overcharged and then had to wait an age for food. when it came it did so in drips and drabs. we ate slowly but finished everything and still my main hadnt arrived. i asked the owner how long it would be and it felt like he threatened me! On asking for a refund he said “ Dont make this worse than it already is, Do you want me to just throw it away, sit down”! What a shambles. NEVER EVER EVER going near the place again. Shame as it's a great location and the pizza place that was there a few years ago was class. 0/10.

It's a shame, it really is. This is a nice looking bar with friendly customers. However, the staff are so incredibly rude,, the whole experience is ruined. I have been here twice. The first time they were just incompetent, disinterested and quite rude. The second time, the barman was shouting at people. Not just me and my friends, but others also. In fact he bacame quite the talkk of the bar. I have literally never encountered servcei that bad in all my life. Avoid (trust me!)
