Tucked down a back alley just behind the King’s Cross Thameslink station, 06 St Chad’s Place is a light & bright blend of exposed brick, wooden beams, skylights & contemporary furnishings. Commendably, it meshes good eats, an eclectic wine list, decent choice of cocktails, easy service & top tunes with a kicking atmosphere. Style-conscious locals rapidly fill the inside tables & chow down on the likes of broad bean, pea & mint risotto, followed by char-grilled lamb skewers with patatas bravas & Swiss chard. Tapas (grilled haloumi, Italian meat antipasti & deep-fried whitebait) is the main staple from 6pm onwards.
