Refettorio

The raves for Refettorio would be the envy of any salumeria or formaggeria in Italy, such is the universal praise for its cured meats & country cheeses. So while it’s forgivable to forget this is an accomplished Italian restaurant with Giorgio Locatelli as its consulting chef, it’s unthinkable to overlook the gastronomic tour of Italy offered via its shared charcuterie platters. The great constant in all categories, wine included, is the sourcing from artisan producers. From there, your best hope is that your selections will equal the sum of its parts, as in saddle of rabbit + porchetta + grilled yellow endive + polenta = magnifico! Elegant pastas & risottos are portioned large & small, which would be commendable were the price difference between them not so narrow. The dining room is more expansive, its rich, dark woods yet another example of unsurpassed sourcing.
