A firm favourite with the Exmouth Market crew, The Easton is a gastropub in the original sense of the word – a proper, unreformed boozer that also has serious culinary intentions. Since 2010, the owners have even been growing their own organic veg up on the rooftop, all of which finds its way onto the concise seasonal menu. Start with a colourful salad of roast beetroot, goats’ curd, walnut, apple & mint, ahead of a cured Kilravock pork chop served with a Tuscan bean salad & smoked tomato aïoli – made with home-grown pickings, of course. To close, try the warm ‘sunken’ chocolate cake served with a spoonful of mascarpone. Noise levels may go OTT at peak times, when the usually affable staff can become overstretched & a bit scatty.
Travel to The Easton in style with London's leading minicab firm Addison Lee.
