The slightly scuzzy location & knocked-about outward appearance only serve to enhance the pleasing insides of this very loveable pub. A breezy, open-plan space with tall windows plays backdrop to tasty rustic food served in portions as large as the bar is long. The chalked-up menu advertises the likes of smoked trout risotto & roast pork tenderloin with herb salad & apple aioli, with hearty nursery desserts for afters & a good range of by-the-glass wines to wash it all down with. There’s outdoor seating in summer & a soundtrack of smooth Cuban rhythms makes the holiday feel last through the year. Weekly specials include Friday night tapas & a great Sunday roast.
