Review of The Junction Tavern:

Located on the corner of one of Tufnell Park’s more picturesque tree-lined streets, The Junction Tavern is a middle-class gastropub aimed squarely at its local residents. Food is served in both the dining room & the conservatory at the back, while drinkers settle for real ales (Black Sheep Best Bitter, Cornish Knocker or By George) at the bar in between. The cooking may be ‘gastropub by numbers’ but the kitchen shows a deft hand & only prime ingredients are used. Fresh & tasty mussels come in a classic cream & wine sauce, oven-roast pork chop is paired with spot-on accompaniments of bubble & squeak & Bramley apple sauce, while a quirky take on bangers & mash features venison sausages with creamy parmesan polenta. A refreshing choice of wines under £25 & pleasant garden continue the neighbourly vibe.
