The Grand Union Public House

This Fuller’s-owned canalside pub plays to a crowd of loyal regulars with its unpretentious decor & straightforward food & drink. Despite a modest makeover, the Grand Union retains many of its original Victorian features including a wrought-iron spiral staircase that leads down to the heated waterside terrace (BBQs in summer). Sit outside with a pint of Spring Sprinter or London Pride & pass a happy hour or two with the papers as the ducks glide by on the water. The food now has a Mediterranean accent, so you can expect to graze on small plates of grilled sardines or tomato & pesto bruschetta, as well as chorizo burgers, charcuterie platters & the like. Weekly quiz nights & fortnightly musical cabaret evenings keep the mixed crowd of locals interested.
