The Grand Union Public House

To London eyes, The Grand Union’s sunny waterside terrace next to a bridge over the canal is a picturesque spot. The bus depot backdrop & Westway soundtrack certainly don’t deter locals, who flock for weekend barbecues when the sun comes out. On the first floor, homely touches include 1950s photos, houseplants & tongue & groove panelling. A wrought-iron staircase winds down to the airy bar, where there are organic wines as well as an international selection of draught & bottled beers.
