The Big Easy is full of beans, radiating all the charm of a stereotypical US diner – think gingham tablecloths, TV-screens showing baseball, lively background music & animated staff. Be warned, ‘this is not diet food’, rather expect to get your chops around breathtaking portions of meaty racks of ribs, whole steamed crab, steak & shrimp, sizzling fajitas & pecan pie. The only thing that doesn’t mirror the stateside leanings are the prices, but visit on a Monday night for ‘The Big Pig Gig’, an all-you-can-eat barbecue which, at £14.95, is well worth tucking into. Unexpectedly, the wine list is excellent, offering plenty of variety at low prices.
