The Beach at Fulham

Bringing a coastal vibe to Parson’s Green, The Beach is an airy space of pastel colours, reclaimed floorboards & blond wood tables. The menu is an international affair & the simpler dishes tend to be better: though the tiger prawns on a plate of surf & turf were overcooked, the steak came deliciously char-grilled with a pink centre, while a soft, cakey chocolate brownie rounded off the meal nicely. Only an adventurous salad of crab, crayfish, apple & fennel failed to impress. Sweet-natured service & an extensive breakfast offering make it a top spot for weekend brunch, & families will appreciate the child-friendly ethos.
