Santa Lucia has all the charm of a provincial pizzeria, with its wood-burning oven taking centre stage among clusters of gingham-topped tables, exposed brick walls & terracotta floors. Locals favour the vast range of inexpensive pizzas, sold by the metre & topped with anything from Italian sausage to porcini mushroom, but there are also homely pastas & char-grilled fish & meat. Staff are full of stereotypical Italian gusto, while downstairs there’s a cosy & intimate low-ceilinged grotto ideal for private functions.
