Following a complete makeover and change of identity, Pimlico’s much-loved Ebury has re-emerged with a brand-new look and a new name. 11 Pimlico Road describes itself as ‘not quite bar, not quite restaurant’ – an all-day venue with a relaxed, eclectic style that is ’more home than high street’. The spacious interior has been opened up with big prints on the walls, arched windows and a curving staircase – plus a horseshoe-shaped bar at the centre of things. Meanwhile, the menu focuses on user-friendly, brasserie-style food with a European accent – from various ‘tossed and sandwiched’ options to Sunday roasts. In between, small plates such as duck rillettes or couscous-crusted fish fingers give way to chicken schnitzel, burgers, rib-eye steaks and pasta. Breakfast and weekend brunch flesh out the offer and there’s an elegant room upstairs for private dos.
