Square Meal review of Beduin:
The tenebrous glow & buzzy, souk-like atmosphere at Beduin attracts a young crowd not afraid to compete with blasting house music from DJs who keep the dance floor busy until very late. Candles, incense, floor cushions & dusky rose-petal tones set the scene for rock-the-kasbah style nights. Pop & Cristal top & tail a dozen-strong Champagne list, while a similar amount of accessible wines allow six by the glass. Cocktails, from £6.55, include a strong Martini offer, but more of a nod to North African exoticism might be welcome, as would a better choice of beers. Tapas are fair enough, while from the other side of the Straits of Gibraltar come tagines, mechouia (grilled vegetable salad) & a selection of spiced skewers.
