Firmdale Hotels’s Fitzrovia bar is abuzz with fashion & film folk, financiers & smart tourists. Accoutred in fashionable gelato-coloured stripes, the room is a new London classic, a see-&-be-seen space to enjoy over afternoon tea or cocktails – a Negroni or an Old Fashioned, perhaps. There’s a stellar list of fine wines, many by the glass, & all-day grazing. Staff are suitably boutique hotel-discreet, if you are thinking of booking in as Mr & Mrs Smith & ordering a second bottle of bubbly from room service.
