Southwark Rooms

Under new management since April 2009, Southwark Rooms has spruced itself up & won even more fans among thirsty local workers. Most swap office gossip over a few beers or a bottle of wine from the short but reasonably priced list. However, the cocktail menu contains a good selection of classics including gin or vodka martinis, margaritas, daiquiris & mojitos. Food choices remain simple: burgers, fish & chips or pasta, plus small plates intended for sharing – from fat chips to chicken satay & spring rolls. There are tables on the pavement outside in the summer, but given how much there is going on in Southwark these days, you’ll be able to find more attractive alfresco spots nearby.
