Square Meal review of Viktor:
Currently residing next to major building works, Viktor is rarely busy. Gilt-framed mirrors & shades of plum dominate the ground floor dining room & there’s a sexy drinking den, V Bar, below. The food is modern Japanese &, like Nobu, has a South American accent. Sashimi & tempura can be found alongside tuna ceviche (here marinated in soy rather than citrus) & salmon toradito with star fruit, lime & strawberry dressing, while innovative mains include teriyaki lamb ribs. There are set-price menus at lunch, but overall prices are high & staff a little blase – so perhaps Viktor’s lack of trade isn’t entirely down to its duff location.
