Grand Cafe & Bar at The Royal Exchange

The appeal of the Grand Cafe remains unchanged: for all the elegance of its setting – the Grade I-listed courtyard of the Royal Exchange – this is an informal & fun spot in which to unwind over foie gras with apple & elderflower jelly, a whole lobster served cold with lemon & shallot mayonnaise, or English asparagus ravioli with sauce vierge. The more intimate mezzanine bar offers oysters, sevruga or beluga caviar & refined nibbles. There’s a short but elegant wine list, plenty of vintage & non-vintage fizz & the Champagne cocktails include a Pimm’s O’Clock with Pimm’s No. 1, elderflower & creme de fraises.
