The glamorous theatrical ambience makes this sister bar to Les Trois Garcons restaurant round the corner a recommended place for celebrations, birthday drinks & first dates. ‘It’s the kind of place you’d expect to find in Barcelona’ coos one fan of its rococo charms. The interior is legendary, a mad melange reflecting its antiques-dealer owners’ eclectic tastes – anything from huge Chinese urns to stuffed animals or opulent chandeliers. Then there are the pricey yet well-assembled cocktails that range decadently across styles, flavours & exotic ingredients, complemented by a small range of Japanese mini-dishes (salmon sashimi, flash-fried marinated chicken). A soigne crowd flocks to this spacious watering hole, where reserving a table is pretty much essential. Service is exemplary in our experience & music refreshingly undeafening.
