We never tire of recommending this bright, friendly restaurant, hidden away from the main tourist drag of Greenwich among riverside council blocks. The welcoming vibe – enhanced by a front bar with comfy seating, free nibbles & a selection of board games – is reflected in an orange colour scheme that’s both warming in winter & sunny in summer. The restaurant covers all fronts: hearty lunch dishes a la steak sandwich, risotto, ploughman’s & fish & chips (£12.95 for two courses); a tempting range of a la carte come evening (the roast duck breast teamed up with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms & harissa has received particular acclaim); & a full-throttle Sunday brunch & lunch offering. Attentive service, good drinks choice & a sun-trapping courtyard complete the picture.
