The Red Fort’s kingfisher-blue, late-night cellar bar (formerly Akbar) is a bit of a bargain basement. Eschewing gimmickry, the focus here is on quality shakes & stirs that punch above their £6 price tag. Choose from a range of yoghurt lassis, chai tea & vodka martini, or coriander & lychee daiquiri. Revitalise (a caipirinha packed with aloe vera & modish goji & acai berries) is a detox-retox all in the same glass. Otherwise, go long on ginto (a G&T souped-up with mint) or spice things up with Indian bloody Mary & a shot of golden dragon (if fiery phaal curries don’t faze you): this incendiary rum, orange Curaçao & orgeat blast is served with a cooling Bombay Sapphire ‘extinguisher’ on the side.
