Square Meal review of Tartine:
A tartine is, quite simply, a French open sandwich, but at this upmarket cafe it’s an item that’s executed with some style. What else would you expect on Draycott Avenue? Long slices of Poilane bread come topped with the likes of shredded duck, crispy ginger, cucumber & plum sauce, or serrano ham, manchego cheese, rocket & quince jam, while carb-counters can ditch the bread & go for crab & avocado salad or steak tartare. The interiors are as chic as the South Ken crowd who pile in throughout the day – unsurprising given that Tartine is one of the few value-for-money places in the area.
