Square Meal Review of Fujisan ?

Tooting Bec: not the first port of call for Japanese cuisine, you might think, but Fujisan has been quietly trading here for years. This neighbourhood restaurant & sushi bar hardly meets fashionable West End standards, & nor does it serve the most authentic Japanese food, yet a meal here can be satisfying & satisfactory. Noodle dishes are surprisingly good (try the duck yaki udon, stir-fried with red peppers, egg, bean sprouts & seaweed), as is the sushi. Popular too are the well-filled bento boxes, which at around £10 are a steal, as is the £6 set lunch. Service can be ‘somewhat surly’, however, which flattens still further the atmosphere in the already bland dining room. Bring your own merriment or make use of the takeaway service.

Stay away from the seafood ramen. The squid was covered in some sort of transparent slime. Chcken ramen was average, tasted like pot noodle. Sushi was alright, didn't taste particularly fresh.
low prices, £30 for two with 2 starters, 2 mains and drinks but I'd rather go one stop further on the northern line and have a curry for the same price.
