Square Meal review of Annie's:
A real Chiswick neighbourhood restaurant favoured by the locals for its ‘pretty’, ‘cosy’ interior, friendly demeanour & unpretentious comfort food. Service, though cheerful, can be slow, especially at peak periods, but the regulars are a fairly relaxed crowd who wait their turn to receive the likes of goats’ cheese, green beans & walnut salad, burgers, risottos & grilled salmon with Puy lentils, & sticky toffee pudding to finish. This is a child-friendly place, with a well-stocked toy box & the built-in enticement of Annie’s sweets to persuade them to finish their food. Further reasons to visit are the reasonably priced set lunch, the well-rounded wine list & the ‘enormous’ breakfasts good enough to tempt the English rugby squad, apparently, on a regular basis.
