As busy & bustly as ever, this functional Italian serves up good-value pizza & pasta to groups of local workers & Regent Street tourists. The hard-working staff can sometimes seem a tad ‘pushy’, but there’s no arguing with popular pizza choices such as the ‘piccante’ (with spicy beef & red onion) or the ‘American hot’ (with chilli & pepperoni) – they aren’t big, & they aren’t ground-breaking, but they’re fine for a swift business lunch or a pre-pub stodge-fest. There’s barely a bottle over £15 on the brief & unadventurous Italian wine list: Lambrusco is £12.50, while Prosecco weighs in at £19. Eight of the pizzas on the menu are veggie-friendly, as are starters of mixed antipasti, tricolore salad & garlic mushrooms. Live music is a fixture, six nights a week: expect jazz piano, singers & duos.
