With its curved, granite-topped bar, decorative glass panels & crisp white napery, Spice Trader is a business-friendly option – not the natural habitat of the bonus brigade to be sure, but smart & comfortable enough if a client or colleague shares your yen for curry. Despite the unusual surroundings, the menu is mostly pretty familiar, though there are some surprises, such as the reshmee kebab starter – marinated minced meat dipped in egg yolk & fried – & a main course of chicken moglai with an almond & coconut sauce & boiled egg. Pricing is keen & veggies can choose from a reasonably wide array of side dishes.
