Square Meal review of Sadaf:

The Lebanese Fairuz has been replaced by the Persian Sadaf. Looks-wise, not a lot has changed, beyond the addition of a row of oversized conches lining one wall (Sadaf means ‘shell’ in Arabic) & a big bread oven at the entrance. Diners can choose to eat tapas-style from a comprehensive mezze menu, a selection of barbecued mains or, for more spice, a list of stews with saffron rice – from lamb pieces with celery & whole dried limes cooked in a finely chopped herb sauce to chicken breast simmered in walnut & a tart pomegranate puree. A fresh approach to Persian cuisine.
