Even those who don’t like theme bars might warm to what is one of the nicest watering holes along Buckingham Palace Road. With lofty ceilings & lively animal-print decor, B Bar attracts a ‘buzzing after-work crowd’ yet has a chilled-out vibe. A lengthy menu covers anything from international classics like Caesar salad, beef carpaccio & beer-battered cod with chips & tartare sauce to exotics such as char-grilled loin of springbok on roasted butternut squash. ‘Even the bar snacks are a cut above the rest’ & there’s a nice range of drinks with South African wine being the obvious choice.
