FireHouse

Over the road from the Natural History Museum, FireHouse is a members-only club with an elegant restaurant that’s open to all. Occupying the first floor of a beautiful townhouse, the dining room is a relaxed space with dark red walls hung with black-&-white photographs, a beautiful fireplace, comfy leather chairs & a small bar. The eclectic menu features anything from French & British to pan-Asian dishes. A meal could start with plump roast scallops with ginger & crispy courgette tempura, followed by black cod with sticky rice & sweet miso sauce; or it might take a more European turn with foie gras terrine & red onion confit ahead of tender lamb shank with mash & rosemary jus. The quality of cooking is on the money, & service is well up to scratch too.
