There’s a touch of the Raffles Hotel to Georgetown. This is due, in part, to the colonial Disneyland decor, all palms, floral displays & lattice-backed chairs, but it’s also down to Malaysian-by-numbers menu. This is split into Malaysian Malay, Malaysian Indian & Malaysian Indian dishes, but whatever you order the food will be bland, lacking any of the spicy punch that are part of the signatures of all three cuisines. In addition, portions are small & service varies between being overly attentive & completely uninterested.
