Eastway at Andaz

A no-nonsense, parquet-floored brasserie right next to Liverpool Street station, Eastway tries to lure work-bound commuters with a range of hot breakfasts, including toasted crumpets, poached eggs, or Loch Fyne smoked salmon with granary toast. Lighter bites follow as the day wears on, with a Med-inspired tapas menu featuring plates of charcuterie alongside the likes of deep-fried squid with lemon & garlic mayonnaise. Alternatively, go for the carte & more fulsome dishes such as on-the-bone sirloin with red wine sauce. If you’re waiting for a train, there’s also decent selection of booze, particularly if your taste is for classy Cognac or Armagnac – note the bottles from Hine.
