Docked outside the Excel exhibition centre, the Sunborn Yacht Hotel’s restaurant is a popular spot for business travellers attending trade fairs, as well as sightseeing weekenders. The slightly dated decor of the small but sunny dining room mixes cherry wood with green carpet & shiny nautical brass. Polite staff serve up dishes such as scallops & asparagus spears to start, followed by seared swordfish with sun-blushed tomato salsa, or fillet steak with bearnaise sauce & chunky chips. Finish with a retro iced Bailey’s parfait. The Yacht Club bar on the deck below serves bar food such as baguettes, pies, pasta & cocktails on a pleasant outdoor terrace.
