Ziani

This much-loved local Italian, perched at the end of one of Chelsea’s most chi-chi streets, received a bit of a facelift last year. Bathed in Champagne-coloured light & lifted with red banquettes & black-&-white prints, Ziani looks much sexier than before & its glamorous regulars are still beguiled by its charm. The menu remains the same, offering up appealing & wholesome Venetian dishes. Meals might kick off with beef carpaccio, followed by cannelloni filled with ricotta & seafood, or best-end of lamb sauteed with anchovies & garlic, while specials include swordfish steak cooked with white wine, herbs, lemon & capers. Service has a distinctly avuncular Italian charm, keeping diners happy in the small & slightly cramped dining room.
