Yas Olympia

A godsend to footsore visitors from the exhibition halls of Olympia, this sunny Persian restaurant also has a strong following among the locals, including Iranian families. There’s much to like, from the smell & taste of the fresh bread baking in the oven in the front window to the upbeat, helpful staff. The menu, featuring mirza ghasemi (a garlicky dish of aubergines, tomato & egg) & salad olivieh (chicken salad with pickles) followed by grills & kebabs, may offer reasonably standard Persian food, but here it’s prepared with care & attention & it’s not expensive either – unless you order after 11.30pm when the prices take a 30% hike.
