Square Meal review of Wodka: ? Write your own review

Quirky enough for a first date, yet so seductive you’ll want to keep coming back, Wodka is the perfect romantic restaurant. Clued-up, professional & relaxed staff know exactly when to engage & when to hold back, while the shabby-chic combination of well-dressed tables, moody lighting & rustic tiled walls creates a comfortingly amorous backdrop. The well-rendered eastern European food is surprisingly sexy too. Blinis (served with herrings, salmon or caviar), pierogi dumplings & vast bowls of peel-your-own crayfish in glistening butter sauce make for adult eating, while earthy classics such as chicken Kiev with savoy cabbage, beef goulash or schabowy (pork escalope with mushrooms & cucumber salad) are prepared with care & finesse. The perfectly seasoned steak tartare is worth crossing town for – as is the justly famed vodka collection (more than 40 types), which also helps take the edge off any jittery chat-up nerves.

Wodka, Oh my lovely Wodka. what can i say? Its my favorite, in large part due to the amazing staff( You know who you are!!!) Atmosphere is great, really catering for all needs. Are you looking for a relaxed dinner for 2-4 its perfect and quick. If you are looking for trouble rent the function room and dont leave until you haven't tried all the different Wodka flavours…My favorite is zubrowka but i can recommend every last one including the pepper one…
it's specieal, the food is rustic and hearty and great, A true gem, i only wish there were more restaurants like it in London. GO NOW!

One of the few places I really like to eat in London. Most places you tend to over-pay for sometimes decent but generally fairly uninteresting food. At Wodka you get excellent quality, unique food, prepared to very high standards in a cozy, but pretty chic environment. The prices are pretty reasonable too. The pierogies are to die for, and the vodka selection is, obviously, excellent. I once had a schnitzel there (yes, probably not standard East European fare, but great nonetheless) which was hands down the best I've had anywhere, including Germany. Sadly, it wasn't there the next time I went as the menu changes frequently, which is a good thing. I'll go back anytime.
