Wine Wharf at Vinopolis

As you might expect given its shared location with the Vinopolis wine museum, Cantina’s strong point is its eclectic wine list. You can wet your whistle with an Austrian Gruner Veltliner, a Mexican Nebbiolo, a Lebanese rose or a Californian ‘Menage a Trois’– a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot. If you don’t fancy the exotic stuff, the list is a couple of hundred bins long & offers more familiar options such as a Chablis or an Argentinian Malbec. The food is fine, though not exciting, consisting of Thai fishcakes, chorizo & fennel bake plus various platters (cheese, oysters & charcuterie are among the choices) to soak up the alcohol, day or night.
