Meanwhile, unassuming interiors & clothed tables play host to a menu that regulars from other Brinkley’s outlets will recognise immediately: deep-fried calamari with aïoli & rocket, cottage pie, lamb burger with chips & tzatziki or Thai red curry, ahead of familiar desserts including crème brûlée or chocolate brownie with ice cream. Alfresco meals in the pretty garden are hard to beat (overhead heaters are a bonus), while weekend brunches & Sunday roasts see the place packed to the gunnels – especially when the sun is beating down. Despite the pressure, service remains as bright & cheery as ever.
