With its 24-hour alcohol licence & all-night breakfasts, it’s no wonder that Vingt-Quatre is a Mecca for Fulham’s party animals. Decked out with glossy metal, mirrors & cream leather banquettes, it looks for all the world like a club – which should make its clientele feel right at home. Although the place does a roaring trade with its early-hours breakfasts, the café/restaurant is also pleasant enough at more civilised times, when a please-all international menu deals in the likes of chicken noodle soup, croque monsieur & macaroni cheese. The sharp wine list is bolstered by Champagnes aplenty, & if you get lucky with people-watching, you might spot a high-roller parting with £99 for a post-clubbing reviver of scrambled egg, oscietra caviar & a half-bottle of Krug.
