The Terrace

With its light-drenched conservatory, crisp white napery & smiling, polished staff, this tranquil restaurant on the second floor of Le Meridien Piccadilly is a far cry from the humdrum of the hotel’s busy lobby. Granted, its serene atmosphere may be due in part to the lack of diners, but it nevertheless makes the elegant dining room a good choice for a quiet business lunch or dinner. While the hotel setting dictates a fair few middle-of-the-road options on the menu, there’s enough classic French fare to entice non-residents, whether it’s a rich fillet of beef with a red wine sauce, cep coulis & truffled ceps or a lighter Dover sole meuniere. On warm days, the small terrace is open for drinks; if it’s not mild enough to sit out, the window tables are a very pleasant spot. Not so the wine mark-ups.
