La Spezia has been serving up Italian fare to both locals & tourists for more than half a century. There are certainly those who say that the old dear is starting to show her age; but others think that the grande dame is a charming dining companion. The menu is almost as traditional as the decor, but plentiful portions of the expected Italian staples such as pan-fried escalope of veal, spaghetti bolognese or carbonara, pizzas & salads are in keeping with the surroundings.
