Square Meal review of Snow's on the Green:

There’s a real need for a grown-up restaurant in this neck of the woods & for the last 10 years or so, this has been it. Acres of white tablecloth blend nicely with the greys, creams & yellows of the interior, giving a hushed air of luxury which is mirrored by the menu offering 90s classics of stuffed courgette flowers, vitello tonnato & fresh crab linguine alongside a more up-to-date crispy belly pork with shiitake mushrooms. There’s no doubt that chef-proprietor Sebastian Snow knows his stuff, turning out dishes that are ‘consistent’ & ‘beautifully presented’, while the service is terrific & the fairly priced wine list does justice to the food. This may not be the most innovative restaurant, but it’s ideal for business entertaining & other reasonably formal occasions. For biggish gatherings, check out the useful private rooms.
