This is a grand old example of a wine bar with pub sensibilities, conveniently located a stumble away from London Bridge station for the commuter crowd, & handily positioned to catch the odd tourist fresh out of the London Dungeon. Part of the Davy’s empire, Skinkers is reckoned to be ‘full of character’ & perfect if you fancy luxuriating in fine port or winding down with a glass of something red from the carefully considered wine list, which is particularly strong on clarets, Burgundies & New World varietals. They now serve weekday breakfasts for the workers, from ‘doorstep’ toast & preserves to a full Skinkers’ fry-up (Cumberland sausage, bacon, Stornaway black pudding et al), & evening set menus are a steal at £17.95/19.95 for two/three courses.
Travel to Skinkers in style with London's leading minicab firm Addison Lee.
